A custom cannabis smoker's pack that started the 4/20 campaign early
Neu Dynamic designed and produced a 4/20 smoker's pack for cannabis brand Fire Brothers: one branded gift box with rolling papers, a grinder, glass tips, matches and a scratch card, all from one contact.
The challenge
Fire Brothers wanted real brand exposure on 4/20, the biggest promotional date in cannabis retail. A branded box on a dispensary shelf wasn't enough. Customers needed a reason to pick their pack over the next one.
That meant six different products, made in different factories and all carrying the brand, planned against a date that couldn't move.
How we did it
- 1Brainstormed what goes in the boxFire Brothers came with the scratch card idea. We worked through what else belonged in the pack and sent several options the day after our first call, with prize levels for the cards.
- 2Designed the packaging and artworkWe designed the gift box and the artwork across the pieces, with lettering options for the sticker so the team could pick a look.
- 3Sourced every piece through one contactThe gift box, custom rolling papers, grinder, glass filter tips, matches and scratch cards each went to a vetted factory suited to that product. The client dealt with one person.
- 4Planned backward from 4/20Samples, quote approval, production and QC were set on one timeline from the first quote.
- 5Sampled the accessories before productionThe team sent reference samples to us in China, and we sent back grinder and glass tip samples to approve before anything went into production.
- 6Shipped by priorityScratch cards, matches, grinders and glass tips went by express so the campaign could start before 4/20. The gift boxes followed by ocean freight.
The result
Fire Brothers got a fully branded 4/20 smoker's pack, from gift box to rolling papers, from a single supplier. The scratch cards landed first and warmed up the campaign in dispensaries, and the full pack followed by sea.
